I'm sorry I don't have any pictures or family stories since my late husband, my McKenzie, was raised by his grandparents and had nothing to do with his father's family.

I was able to trace his ancestors with nothing but a birth date. I put everything I know in message 250 on this Forum.

The first three paragraphs will be of interest to you. In the TX 1860 Census the name is spelled McKenzie and the birth dates of Dora and her next oldest brother show when they arrived in Texas. Dora's brother, Jasper, is the ancestor of my children.

It's interesting that a lady born in 1854 is your grandmother.
