Nehemiah McKINSEY b 1st March 1795 NOTE: The "Given Name - John" found in the Scottish Records as the Father of a "George McKenzie" in 1752 is not found in the Family of George McKINSEY m Sarah THOMAS. QUESTION: Was a George McKENZIE of Newberry Co., SC., on board ship to Jamacia 1774? ITEM: Newberry Co., SC {1} Deed Index 1785-1840 {2} shows: Grantor: McKINSEY, Geo. Grantee: Thos. & Sarah Shaw Book D Pgs 2-6 Date of Deed: 8th January 1773 Date of Record: 16th June 1797 CONCLUSION: The above Deed from George McKINSEY to Thomas & Sarah SHAW shows: A George McKINSEY was "A Resident Of" and "A Property Owner In" - District 96/Newberry Co., South Carolina, on the 8th of January 1773.
