As Descendants, we are most fortunate to have a comprehensive History and Genealogy of George McKINSEY/McKENZIE and Sarah THOMAS, thru the efforts of Martha Gail {McKinsey} WALLACE and Ruby Mundell BARRY. They have left us a wonderful gift thru their published efforts.
It is with interest that I note your postings, concerning the: "Birth Location of George McKINSEY d 11th June 1840 - Warren Co., Ohio".

"This disagrees with the tradition story. I have been unable to verify which place of birth is correct."
NOTE:
As we know, Genealogists recognize that "Tradition Stories" are just that - "Tradition" - sometimes mixed with fact, but more fully explained by Webster:
"Tradition: The handing down of beliefs and customs by word of mouth or by example without written instruction; also: a belief or custom thus handed down."
