I am seeking information on my husband's family and know very little. My husband is John Ross McKinnon, born 1941 in Detroit Michigan. His father was Clarence Lawlor McKinnon, born 11 Dec 1895 in Toronto and died 1981 in Detroit Michigan. Clarence's parents were Archibald McKinnon (gas works employee) and Annie Layton. Clarence was an only child and orphaned at a young age, and raised by a cousin known as "Tot." They likely lived in Port Perry, Ontario. The only other thing I know about the family is that Clarence's grandfather was also named Archibald, and made horseshoes for racehorses. Can anyone help me out with hooking up with the right branch of the McKinnon family tree? I have found many many Archibald McKinnons, but none of them are the right ones!
