In case it is of interest to anyone, there is a portrait of Mr. W. A. McKinnon posted on deadfred.com:

This picture of Mr. W. A. McKinnon appears on page 65 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XXVII, no.2, February 1904. Please see that reference for more details. Mr. McKinnon was a graduate of Toronto University and was employed by the Dominion Dept. of Agriculture in Canada. That is all the information I have on this picture. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
