I haven't been into my genealogy lately so please excuse my brain fog. I have seen I made a mistake and put a George McKinnon as another son of Hugh and Jane.....a mistake for sure. not sure how that happened.
I have McDonald's ...Thomas Leach married Mary McDonald and their daughter Sarah Leach married Charles McKinnon son of Gregor in 1839...possible Mary McDonald was related in some way.....so the connection is there.
also Margaret McGraw a daughter of Farquar McGraw and Jean McKinnon married a James McDonald....
I have long suspected the Haines-McKinnon connection as I "think" a William McKinnon was living with the Haines family in one of the census's.
In WD Hamiltons book he does say for sure that Hugh married Jane Forsyth....
