I do not know who John's wife was. His son, Daniel Martin McKinnon's death certificate identified his father as John Collon McKinnon, but his mother was not identified.
I found a death certificate for your JC McKinnon identifying his father as Jno. H McKinnon and his mother as Betsy Sounders [or possibly Saunders]. Francis Ann is shown as the name of his deceased wife. He died 11 Sept 1939 in Ellerbe, NC. Poor handwriting on the death certificate makes it difficult to read.
