Ken, a million thank yous....your information makes sense. i suspected that my laughlin was a nephew of murdocks. I would love to exchange dates and information that i have with you. In colorado county, texas, there was a john b. mckinnon born in 1807 in n.c. who died in 1877. he had a son, also john b., born in 1836 in mississippi. Is this the same family???
Again, i am so glad to have finally found you. robin
