Laughlin McKinnon was a witness to Richmond Co., NC March 1805 Deed Book F Page 377 Harmon Holleyman to Mary Pegues.

The location is east side of Pee Dee River just north of the border with South Carolina in a town called "Stewart's Town" or Stewartston as it was later known. The town can be seen on this 1855 map of North Carolina.
