I descend from a Sarah McKinnie who married an Isaac Ricks around 1700 ca. This Isaac was the sone of Jacob Ricks and his wife Mary Exum. When Jacob died 1702 or 03, She married Barnaby. Barnaby had been previously married to a Mary ?. The children, the girls that married Pope and Lane were Mary Exum's, according to the will of Mary E.'s mother who mentioned these girls as grandchilren. The question remains, who was Sarah the dtr. of. The Isaac she married was born in the mid years between 1650 and 1680. I have it somewhere. Anyway ,that makes Sarah born in the same era the appropiate age to marry. She could not have been mary Exum's dtr. Which McKinnie was she the dtr of Michael, the father of Barnaby and John or was it John? perplexed! It doesen't change my lineage in that I know I have a McKinnie line and I have Mary Exum Ricks as a ancestress. JaneGD
