Since McKinnie is not a popular name in the US we must be kinfolks.
My GGGGGGGG grandparents were:
Major Barnabie McKinnie born 1680 married Mary (Rich) Exum born 1683 and had:
Patience McKinney b. 1702 married Joseph Lane, Sr. b. 1700 Halifax, NC (married 1720)
had Jesse Lane 1733 married Winifred Aycock b. 1741 NC (Her Parents: William Aycock 1705 Va-1765 NC and Rebecca P. Pace 1706 Va.)
and John Lane 1734
James Lane 1731
Barnabas 1725
Joseph Jr. 1720
Joel 1723
