Col. Barnaby McKinnie, of Halifax Co., NC (formerly Edgecombe Co., NC) owned 1690 acres. His Will dated Aug. 13, 1737.
To son: Richard McKinnie (died May 1755 w/o issue)
To: Patience Lane (had son John Lane)
To: Mourning Pope
To daughter: Christian McKinnie (md. William Hurst of Granville Co., NC, had daughter, Mary Hurst).
