A son-in-law in the 1700s is now called a step-son. I am trying to find a connection between Mathew Rushing of Chowan County, NC ca. 1718. Mathew had land adjacent to Major McKinnie and I think this land & the Major's was a grant of a Henry Wheeler. Any help appreciated. Regards, Virgil Huntley
