Hi, Judy Christie again.Never mind, I found the paper work on my father and he was enlisted at Leavenworth Kansas, Boot camp at Abilene, Texas, Jungle Training at Camp Clark, Louisiana, then stationed with the 280th station Hospital in New Jersey.Left NJ for Hull England for about a year then went back to outside London. When France was invaded, shipped to France as hospital unit.My father went in as a cons. objector. But after being shot at when gathering the dead and wounded at night from a field after battle he decided he wanted a gun anyway.
At the Battle of the Bulge he had infantry training with 155th artillery unit.About 2 miles behind the line for about 4 months. He was then sent to Marcei France for shipment to Japan.I don't have down if he went to Japan or not.He was given his out at Camp Chafe, Arkansas in February 1946.
Sorry for taking up your time, but as you can see John M. McKinney is not who you are looking for.
Thank you for you patience,
Judy Christie
