This is an interesting line. I notice something unusual about William McKinney (1766 - 1857) in that his first child was born when he was 17 yo! That would mean that he married probably about 16 years of age. That would be very unusual since males did not "come of age" until 21 years and it was not customary to marry before that age. It could and did happen - but it was unusual.
The other thing is that there is a big gap between the birth of the 3rd child in 1785 (were Burnice and Susannah twins?) and the 4th child in 1802. Surely there must have been other children?
It seems that your line would be a good candidate for the yDNA study. Have you seen message #5244 posted on this McKinney Forum? This study could really help you a lot; what do you think?
