As far as I know, no proof of Ann's marriage exists - there were two marriages for Antje McKinney, one to Phillip Bright, one to Nehemiah Dunham (third wife) . . the list of children that you give Ann in your message, is a list of Mordecai and Mary's children - Jan (John) bap 1714; Willem bap 1715; Daniel bap 1717; Jacob bap 1719; Ann bap 1721; David bap 1725 at Freehold & Monmouth; Mordecai, bap 1727.The rest of the children were baptised in Somerset Co. (records in the RDC, published in Somerset Co. Historical Quarterly). The Ann Mckinney that married Philip Bright, died in Tompkins Co. NY.Also, no record exists of death of Marietje Sebering Mckinney - she was alive when Mordecai died May 20, 1760 in Hunterdon Co.He provided for her in his will, maintaining the right to live on the plantation while she remain a widow - the property was listed for sale around 1770, so one would presume that she died about 1769 or so, and probably near Clinton, New Jersey, not in Bergen Co. (that's where she was probably born) . .
Would be interested in your sources of information, would sure like to correct any misinformation that I have. Please e-mail at [email protected] Thanks, Pat Kirkwood
