The McKinnell side of my family,First immigrated to Elgin in northern Ill. January 1856. Peter Mckinnell b.b. June 26, 1827 inKirkinner Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland.

He farmed briefly in Peoria and El Paso, Woodford, IL. The records show that he worked for a cousin in El Paso, but I don't have any informaton on that branch.

Peter ended up in Walworth, Wisconsin just on the IL border and raised a family of Mckinnells, including my mother and several cousins. My records don't show an Anna but they aren't complete.

Your best bet is to contact James C. Mckinnell Jr. in VA. (Peter's ggrandson) he seems to be the family Genealogist.

If you wish, Ill send you his email & snailmail address, Let me know.

Dave Smith
