I apologize for overlooking your message. I used to publish "McKinley Newsletter", and I recognized the place. There may have been two McKinley families in Shelby Co. KY in that era: James McKinley + Jemima Kendall and John McKinley + Mary Margaret McKelvey. The men may have been brothers, and both families moved to Clark Co. IN, perhaps about 1815. Your Eleanor/Ellen/Nellie was not listed in either family. The various contributions were not all consistent with one another. I am not known to be related to either family, and I have never done personal research on them.
I hope this can help. John M. McKinley
