Looking for children of Josiah Alexander McKinley born 1807 in Jackson Co., Tennessee. Parents are Robert McKinley and Sally Cowan (Sally Cowen).
After seeing Josiah's family in Polk Co., MO in 1840 and Crawford Co., MO in 1850, I cannot find them in 1860 and 1870.
I did see them on the 1880 Ukiah, Mendocino, California census, but too late to find out the names of their children.
The 1850 census has only initials, except for son James McKinley. I think one of the daughters is Martha Jane McKinley who married Andrew Madison Burke, Sr. And I believe another son is Robert McKinley who married Margaret Patton.
Does anyone know the names of Josiah McKinley's children. Wife is Elizabeth -- maybe Green.
