Don't know if I can help...but I have a McKim line that is also from that area. Here is what I know...
John McKim m. Lydia Switzer in 1812 (both are buried in the Switzerville cemetary that you mentioned in your post).
Their son - Peter Switzer McKim was born in 1813.
I just found a link on the message board (post 622) from Debra Dirks that lists a whole list of other children from this marriage.
Peter McKim m. Charlotte (unknown)
Their daughter, Charlotte Victoria McKim was born in 1848. She married John Alexander Gardiner. These were my GGGrandparents.
Their daughter, Florence Victoria Gardiner, married Rev. Alexander George MacKinnon. These were my GGrandparents.
Their daughter, Florence Marjorie MacKinnon married Dr. James Roberts Forrest. These were my Grandparents.
My grandparents lived in Montreal, Quebec.
It could be that your Mary McKim was either a daughter or perhaps niece of John McKim (just a guess). Sometimes having a few names to go with can spark the connection so I would love to hear from you.
