I have some McKillop (McGilp ) families in my tree .My great aunt(Eva Morrish) married into the McKillop family .They came from North Knapdale,Argylshire,Scotland in the early 1800's.Donald McGilp(1) (b 1785 )married Nancy McLachlin and they came to Elgin County,Ontario ,Canada .They emigrated with 8 children-Donald(2) ;Archibald; John ;Neil;Alexander ;Donald(?) ; Margaret ;Mary.The surname was changed during the 2nd generation in Canada.I have some data on their homestead and the farm.The Donald (2) married Christena McArthur
and they had 10 children.If you would like to have this data ,let me know .I would be glad to send it to you .
