My family - the Darraughs - also lived in Greenpoint from the early 1860s until 1912. I believe they were somehow associated with the McAllisters.
Annie McKillop married Denis Darraugh (my great granduncle) who was also from Greenpoint. The Darraughs came to this country from Cushendall, County Antrim, Ireland. Alexander Darraugh, my great-grandfather later owned a "saloon" in Greenpoint. My grandfather went into the undertaking business in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn around 1913 and continued in business until 1965 under John J. Darraugh & Sons.
Denis Darraugh died in 1932. I know he had three daughters who later lived in Flushing, NY
