I believe your Hugh McKillip is mine also, so I think I can help you out.Hugh McKillip was married to Agnes White Hannah. This was not the first marriage for Hugh. He had children too old to belong to Agnes. There is some who speculate that he was married to Agnes' hafe sister Miriam HannahHis children from his first included: Andrew about 1750, Catherine about 1753, Archibald about 1775, Jane about 1758, Hannah about 1760, Hugh White McKillip 1760, and Elizabeth about 1762. Children from his marriage to Agnes were: Mary 1781, John Sept. 4, 1782, Rebecca about 1783, Catherine Dec. 5, 1784, William Oct. 11, 1785, Sarah 1791-1784, Daniel June 10, 1797, and Elizabeth Dec. 10, 1799.
Hugh died June 1802 in Bever Creek, Stokes, North Carolina. His son John, his widow and several of his other children including William, Daniel, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Catherine, and the spouses and children of John and Catherine, migrated to Ohio and settled in Jefferson, Fayette County. About 1827/1828 several of the children of Hugh migrated into Tippecanoe County, Indiana, Including Daniel, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Catherine and their spouses and children.Sarah as you know was married to John Fewell.Daniel was married to Nancy Lawson May 10, 1820. Elizabeth was married to William Kendall on 01 Aug 1815, Catherine was married to William Holladay before leaving North Carolina about 1805. John McKillip and William stayed in Ohio. John was married to Elizabeth Wicker 18 Oct 1803 in Stokes County, NC. William McKillip was married to Margaret(Peggy) Robinson Aug. 20, 1815 in Ohio. She died before 1827, he married a second time to Esther Anderson Dec. 13, 1827.
My 2nd great-grandparents were Daniel McKillip and Nancy Lawson. There son James McKillp was my great-grandfather. His daughter,Ella McKillip, by his second marriage to Elizathe Fleek was my grandmother.
