This is my line: My mother was a Moore, daughter of Oliver Rae Moore who was the son of Jessy Lawrence Moore and Ruth McKillip. Ruth McKillip b. 19 Jan. 1848 d. 31 Oct. 1892 Ruth was the daughter of David McKillip b. Feb. 1812 and his wife Jane Elliott. David McKillip was the son of William McKillip who was b. in Ireland and married Mary Davis who was also b. in Ireland. William McKillip/McKellip b. Ire. was married to a Mary last name unknown to me. This is odd about the Holliday family. I thought it was the Elliott's who were related to the Hollidays. Hmmmm. In my direct McKillip line I have found no connection to the Holliday family. I have a copy of the Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery with a listing of burials. There is a Homer McKillip b. 1882 d. 1972 buried next to a Rebecca McKillip b. 1885 d. 1945 Of course in the habit of reusing the same names over and over... There are two other Homer McKillips buried in this cemetery... Blair L. b. 1888 d. 1966 and Blair L. McKillip Jr. b. 1927 d. 1968. There are four William McKillips buried there as well as my David McKillip wife Jane Elliott and three of there young children who died. My suggestion to you would be to try to get an obit of Blair McKillip b. 1850. http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabcgs/ This should take you to the Blair County Gen. Society in Hollidaysburg. Does your wife have relatives still living in Blair County PA.? This web site has a way to order obituaries and other things. Snoop around it and see what you learn. I would love to hear back from you and I will try to answer any other questions you might have. I will keep looking in my research for the Holliday name. I know I have seen it before.
