I just discovered your genforums posting from five years ago:
"My grandfather died leaving almost no information on his family. ORRA SIPLES MCKILLIPS d. 1957, St. Paul, MN. He married Ruby Watson in St. Paul, MN. He told us his father was in the horse training business. His father remarried when Orra's birth mother died. We do not know the given names of either his father or mother."
I just started looking at the McKillips family because of the Siples connection. It is my belief that Orra's mother was Cornelia A. Siples, b. May 11, 1859 in Ferrisburg, Vermont, d. Jan 24, 1890 in Osnabrock, Cavalier Co., North Dakota. Orra's father was Albert H. McKillips. Albert and his second wife, Amanda, moved to Spokane, Washington before 1920, and they lived with Orra's brother Henry and Henry's wife in Spokane in 1920. I don't know, but I would guess that Albert and Amanda died there. As near as I can determine, Henry had no children. Also as far as I know, Henry was Orra's only sibling, but you may know differently.
My connection to Cornelia Siples is that she was a sister of my great-great-grandfather Roger Siples. In researching my family it had been my intention to only research the siblings of my great-grandparents. But having some time on my hands yesterday and no other immediate leads, I decided to see if I could figure out if Cornelia Siples had married before she died, and that led me to the Mckillips connection.
It looks like Orra's family has become pretty large, with seven children (one - Edna - died very young). I've tracked a pretty good number through the Minnesota birth index, but other states don't provide as much information. Based on who I've found, I'm guessing that you, D. D. McKillips, are Vernon's son Darwin Dean, b. Mar 5, 1937, and you now live in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Would be happy to share what information I have.
