There is a town called "McKibben's Town" still in N.Ire. that was originally "The Craigs" in County Antrim. The name was changed because the majority population were McKibbens...and still are. The story goes that a school teacher varied the spelling of the name (en..on..in..an) to facilitate record-keeping as to who's who. There are McK. sheep farms there today!
