Related to Cumberland Co PA McKs???

I finally found my McKibbin family that came from County Down, NI and settled in Turkeyfoot Township,
somerset County, PA in 1812.In researching my family, I came across the Cross Creek McKibbens
and when I looked up the history of the town of Cross Creek, I discovered that one of the oldest schools
there was named the McKibbin school, with the same spelling as my family.Curiously, the first names
of the McKibbens used in Cross Creek match my own family. My father's name was Hugh (he died
recently) and my grandmother McKibbin had told me about the twins Hugh and John, and I wonder how
she knew about them.My family also claims to be related to the David and Chambers McKibbin who
are in Arlington National Cemetery, and I have been taken to visit them since I was about four years
old.I sent for a CD on those who were naturalized in PA and did find a Thomas of about the same
age as my immigrant third great-grandfather and it says that he was born in Scotland.I do know that
his son Thomas Jr. McKibbin was born in 1806 in County Down, NI.Thomas Jr married Eleanor Bayes
and they eventually ended up in Wauseon, Fulton County, OH while the rest of the family went on to
Elkhart and LaGrange counties in Indiana across the border.
The interesting thing about Washington County is that many of my Bayes or Bays ancestors and also
my Wright and McMillen ones of PA were also in Washington County when those McKibbens were
there.
