I don't think it is the same John MCKIBBEN but they could be related somehow. In the 1860 census my John McKibben listed himself as 65 yrs. old. That would make his b. yr. 1795.
He also lists his birthplace as Ireland.
In the 1870 census, John MCKIBBEN is living with his daughter Elizabeth and her family.
She married a John MCINTOSH. They lived in Birmingham PA which is in Alleghany Cty.
John McKibben is listed as 76 yrs old. The census of 1870 says he was b. in Ireland and so was his mother and father.
Do you know where your John was born? Or any of his childrens names?
I don't know if my John's parents came to the states or not.
