I don't know whether this will help, but my grandfather was Albert Frank McKew of London, born in 1886 - he left his wife Thirza Clara Webb and baby and went to Canada. I believe he returned to England around 1929 (this is only hearsay) and remained in England until he died in 1963 in Lambeth, London. It is a bit of a coincidence I think.
