I have tried to find out information on George W. McKerley also. I am related to George Grave Mckerley. My great grandfather was a brother to George Grave McKerley. His name was John Ira McKerley. I have tried to find information as to whether or not they are all connected. I feel that they where I just don't know how and where they all came from. I have tried for over 20 years to trace my family tree and I haven't gotten past 1880's. John Ira's father Ervin was listed in the 1880 census in Jackson, Co and then he appears in Cleburne or Calhoun, Co. However, Ervin's wife was from Cherokee,Co. and we know his mother's name was Eliza. They are both buried in Goshen Cemetary near Piedmont, AL. Right on the Cherokee/Calhoun County line. I have also talked with Darrel.
