I am trying to find out more about my grandfather who was born in belfast in 1914. He later moved to carrickfergus in the 1970's and died in 1985. He was married to elizabeth armstrong in 1935 - in st anns cathedral in belfast.
The only details i know are - he was in the army in the war and might have worked for a firm called mackies after the army. He also had two brothers - Christy and john.
I am particularly interested in his parents - names, occupations and where abouts they lived.
