Irish Websites

Hi,
I am currently looking for confirmation of the Irish origins on my Mothers side of the family. Her name is McKeown, and they came to Scotland during the Great Hunger (An gorta mor) in the 1800's.
I have traced the family back through www.scotlandspeople.org to the mid 1800's when they arrived here. However, I am finding it very difficult yo find any confirmation of them, or their lives in Ireland.
Are there any websites in Ireland that anyone can reccomend, or are similar to Scotlands People, which is a fantastic site.
Thanks in advance,
God Bless,

C.
