I too am interested in this family as the McKeown family I'm looking for may have been in Randalstown as well. I know that one was born there. Here is the info that I have:

Mary McKeown b. abt. 1835-1850 married Edward McCrudden and had the following children:

1. Anabelle McCrudden d. Canada
2. Andrew McCrudden d. Canada
3. Elizabeth McCrudden b. Ireland
4. Samuel McCrudden d. Ontario, Canada
5. William J. McCrudden d. Canada
6. James Alexander McCrudden b. 1873 Randalstown, Antrim, Ireland d. 1938 Cuyahoga Co., Ohio
7. Edward McCrudden b. 06 Mar 1882 Ireland d. 20 Dec 1964 Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio
8. Margaret McCrudden b. 08 Sep 1890 Ireland d. Mar 1970 Cleveland, Cuyahogo, Ohio
9. Mary McCrudden b. 26 Mar 1897 Ireland d. Nov 1969 Inglewood, Los Angeles, California

I wonder if my Mary is the same Mary, daughter of Bernard that you refer to. I'm not familiar with sponsers...are they like Godparents?
