Correct pronounciation of Mc Keon is like the 'eo' in 'George'not - as I heard in New York 'Mc Kee-on'.
Taking the Belfast accent into account I think your 'Mc Gihon' is more likely to be 'Mc Gahon'-quite common in the north of Ireland,there may be variations in spelling. Hope this helps.
