McKewen/McKeon/Mckeown/McKewon

My grandfather, Patrick McKewen came from Ireland between 1835 and 1859. On his marriage certificate to Mary Burns (Byrnes), the spelling is McKeon, but on the birth certificates of his children it is spelled Mckeon, Mckewen, Mckeown or Mckewon. It just depended on how the priest doing the services thought it should be spelled. They lived in Baltimore and had the following children: James, John, Agness, Mary, Patrick, Joseph and William (my grandfahter). Patrick and Mary both died when my grandfather was young and the children were raised by someone else. I am surching for information on my grandfathers siblings and I would really love to know where in Ireland Patrick came from. But I don't know how to find out. I've looked over passener list on immigration ships with no luck. Any information would be appreciated.

Mary Mckewen Ward
