I'm curious if anyone has any connections to a John Mckenzie, born Jan 1800. From the look of it on LDS, probably born in Rosskeen. The siblings are listed as being born in Rosskeen or Alness.
There is only one John Mckenzie on lds that is has a mention of January - a christening on Jan 28 - and I have a birth date of Jan 12 so this could be the same man.
Lists his parents as Roderick and Janet(Munro).
The John from my connections marries a Janet Ross. One child would be a Duncan Mckenzie.
Later on the family relocated to Scotsburn and remained there until coming to Canada.
