Hello,
I am new to this forum so hope that I do not breach any rules.

I am looking for information regarding McKenzies from southeast Oklahoma. My understanding is that my grandfather may have come from Arkansas or Tennessee.

Males are very dominant within our branch. To my knowledge, there may only be 2 females born in 5 generations. My grandfather supposedly had several brothers and maybe one sister. My grandfather had four sons. Of those sons, only grandsons were born. Of the grandsons, I have heard that a daughter was born to Richard (see below). All the other grandsons (myself included) have only fathered sons. I will list what limited information that I have:

Grandfather: George L. McKenzie (Died in the 60's in Albuquerque, NM). Married to Maude Lynch (I believe that was her maiden name). Maude had two daughters from a previous marriage (Ella and Bama). They divorced in 1927. He had four sons: Leonard E., James L., Norman, and Roy Dale. George lived out the latter part of his life in Albuquerque, NM. He owned a small bakery south of downtown. He was married to a Allie for many years in his later life. George reportedly had several brothers and perhaps one sister.

George McKenzie's sons:
Leonard E. (d. 1959) had no children. He was married briefly to Eileen (Not sure of her last name but think it was Potter from Hugo, OK). Leonard is buried in Mt. Olivet Cementary in Hugo, OK.

James L. (d. 1990?) had two sons: Ronald D. (b. 1948) and Richard (b. 1951). Last I knew the sons lived near Ft. Worth, TX. He was married briefly to Mildred (do not her last name) who bore his sons. James is buried in Mt. Olivet Cementary in Hugo, OK.

Norman (d. 1944, Germany WWII) had one son: Charles (b.1944 or 1945) Last I knew, Charles was in the Army and lived somewhere in CA. Do not know the name of Charles mother. Norman is buried in Mt. Olivet Cementary in Hugo, OK.

Roy Dale (1927 - 1999) Born in Wright City, OK, grew up around Hugo and Grant. Died in Arvada, CO. One son: Gary Wayne(me). Two adopted stepsons: Dale and Greg (d. 1979)

I would be very appreciative if anyone can provide any information on my family.
