I am a nephew of Charles Ross McKenney, b. 3/25/1890, Patten, ME; d. 10/21/1971, Lyme, NH. He m. Estella Goodhue, b. 1/5/1910, Lennoxville, CAN; d. 7/4/1988, Youngtown, AR. In Ross's autobiography, "Language of the Forest", he lists a very partial genealogy. His father was Winfield Scott McKenney. I have a genealogy of John McKenney,(b. late 1600's?) down to Freeman McKenney, b. 1811. Freeman's sons were Charles F., Winfield S. (Scott?), and Frank H. This is all very tempting, but there seems to be one or two generations missing to link uncle Ross with this line. If anyone can clear this up, please post here or email me anytime.
