Benoni McKenney was b. ca 1835 in St. Louis County, MO. He was one of several sons of George W. McKenney and Lucinda Davis who had married 1829 in Butler County, Kentucky. Children of George and Lucinda were:

William Templeton McKenney was b. ca 1872 in Knox County, Illinois. He was one of several sons of Benoni McKenney and Roseannah Hardin. Children of Benoni and Roseanna (as listed on the 1880 census) were:
1. Jennie H. (1867 IL)
2. Anna Etta (1869 KS)
3. Charles Ferdinand (1870 KS)
4. Lucinda F. (1871 KS)
5. William T. (1872 IL)
6. Allen Barrett (1876 IL)
7. Lelia Pearl (1879 IL)
Walter T. McKenney was b. ca 1904 most likely in Knox County, Illinois. He was the only son of William Templeton McKenney and Emma Jones. The children of William and Emma were:
1. Walter T. (1904 IL)
2. Roseanna (1906 WA)
3. Cora/Corey (1908 WA)
4. Mary (1911 WA)
5. Grace (1913 WA)
