Co. Monaghan rcds aren't in the database yet. Since it will be a LONG time before they are, I suggest you contact an LDS Family History Library and peruse its microfilms. While more difficult to use than an online database, the LDS rcds are 2nd in quality only to the microfilms created by the National Archives of Ireland, or National Library of Ireland.

Irish parishes sometimes overlapped county boundaries. This caused predictable confusion. The database will list all the parishes considered a part of that county. Once in a while a rcd will appear which shows an origin in an abutting county.
