I have traced one of my family lines back to Alexander McKendrick who was born July 18 1812 in Durisdeer Dumfries to John McKendrick and Isabel Kerr. Durisdeer is very close to Sanquhar. I have been able to find the parents of Isabel Kerr in Durisdeer but not the family for John McKendrick. Their oldest son's name is Robert. Do you know if there is a connection between this family and the McKendricks of Sanquhar?
