I am researching John M. McElvy and Jane Jamison m. 31 Mar 1825 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. I have found them on the 1850 Census in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and in 1860 in Gaston County, North Carolina and in 1880 in Gaston County, North Carolina, during the 1870 Census. Any help that you can give me on this family would help clear up my mystery.... I am also lookin for John David Arnold who married Alace McKelvey and any information on them during the 1900 Census and in 1870 Census....
