Teresa, Someone on Rootsweb sent me some census info. Living in the same residence in 1881(?) in Cascades, Quebec, Hull, Ottawa were: James McKelvey-head of household, Male 65 b. 1816 Irish from Ireland, Farmer, Church of England Margaret Carson-who may have been his wife William McKelvey, Male Irish 27 b. 1854, Quebec, Farmer, Church of England Thomas McKelvey Male Irish 25 b.?, Quebec, Farmer, Church of England Hugh McKelvey Male Irish 19 born 1862, Quebec, Laborer, Church of England Elisa McKelvey Female Irish 17 b. ? Quebec, Church of England Elisa Carson W Female Irish 52 b. 1829 Quebec Church of England, [s/o Margaret Carson?] Henry Carson Male Irish 19 Quebec, Church of England Hugh Carson Male 17 b. 1864 Quebec, Church of England Bella Carson, Female, Irish, 14, Quebec, Church of England John W. Carson, Male Irish 12, Quebec, Church of England. I think Thomas McKelvey married Isabella Reid and they moved to Ontario and then BC, but I have no proof. I think Henry Carson is my great-grandfather. There may also be an Isabella (McKelvey) Ellard born 1848. Do you have any input? Carolyn Notify Administrator about this message?
