Looking for decendants of Sarah Jane McKelvey Born 1825. Was her parents born in Ireland? Was her mother Margaret? She married Capt. Jeremiah Forse-@1843. He owned a tugboat called "The Advance". Jeremiah was also a stonecutter. Sarah Jane is buried in the Alleghany Cemetary. She died May 25, 1896. Jeremiah died 1860. . Need her parents names. I have many documents to share. Is there a McKelvey Family Bible that one of her grandchildren may have passed down? She had only two daughters that I know of. Sarah Jane and Amanda. Amanda died 4yrs old. Sarah Jane died at an early age also. Son George was killed in the Civil War age 17. Son James had twin girls. Sarah Jane and Ellen.
