Hi Bill:

I am sorry to tell you, but the coat of arms that you posted is that of the McEvoy sept not that of the McKelvey's.
The McEvoy's are a separate and destinct sept, not a variation of Mac Goilla Bhuidhe (McKelvey).
I know of two shields that are commonly accepted, the one that my family recognises is a field of black with two silver chevrons on it. I personally believe this to be the coat given to the McCalvey name, but I have no proof of this at this time.
