D. A. McKellar 1872 Brooklyn

I have a really good pen and ink sketch of a young man seated and reading either a paper or book with the cursive word "Blissfannan" below his right forearm. There is a tiny notation off to the right of the sketch that reads "Brooklyn." Under that is "Nov. 24 '72." And faintly printed underneath is "D. A. McKellar."

He's wearing a sack coat with a self vest, white shirt with a wing collar and black cravat tied in a bow. His manner of dress dates the sketch to 1872 rather than 1772 or 1972. When we have statistics on an ancestor, it's just dry bare bones. If you knew that he/she was an accomplished artist, it begins to flesh them out. I hope somebody has this man in their ancestory.
