I'm trying to find if anyone knows anything about the McKellar branch that settled in/around Knox County (Cushing, So. Thomaston, St. George, etc), Maine. The first of the line seemed to be John McKellar around the end of the 1770's who married Martha McCarter. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Children seemed to be Archibald, Thomas, James, John and probably more. I'm particularly interested in where the original John came from. Thanks for any help!
