I'm trying to find information on the descendants of my great-great-great grandfather, Donald McKellar.

Donald McKellar was born around 1820 in Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland. He lived in Binniehill, Slamannan, Stirling, Scotland, where he worked as a coal miner.

On March 08, 1842, Donald married Janet Paterson in Campbeltown. Janet was born around 1826 in Scotland. She died sometime after 1872.

Donald & Janet had 9 children:

1. Janet McKellar - born 1843, Scotland

2. Charles McKellar - born c.1846, New Monkland, Lanark, Scotland

3. William McKellar - born c.1848, New Monkland, Lanark, Scotland

4. Agnes McKellar (my grea-great grandmother) - born July 13, 1850 in Campbeltown. On December 31, 1872, Agnes married Robert Forsyth, son of John Forsyth & Janet Dougall, in Slamannan, Stirling, Scotland. In 1882, Agnes & Robert immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Alabama. They had 11 children: William Galespie Forsyth (1870-?), Jesse Paterson Forsyth (1873-c.1947), Kate McDonald Forsyth (1875-?), Mary Forsyth (1877-1912), Flora McKellar Forsyth (1880-1921), Daisy Belle Forsyth (1882-1883), Catherine McDonald Forsyth (1883-?), John Robert Forsyth (1885-1967...my great-grandfather), Agnes McKellar Forsyth (1888-1901), Earl Wayne Forsyth (1893-1893), and (Infant) Forsyth. Agnes died in 1930 in Ensley, Alabama. Robert died in 1922 in Ensly, Alabama.

6. Catherine McKellar - born 1853, Binniehill, Slamannan, Stirling, Scotland

7. Isabella McKellar - born 1856, New Monkland,Lanark, Scotland

8. Flora McKellar - born 1859, Slamannan, Stirling, Scotland

9. Helen Nisbet McKellar - born 1861, Slamannan, Stirling, Scotland
