Hi, Ray,
I was very interested in your posting. I'm looking for further information on the family of Effie McKellar of Curshelach (and various spellings!) which is just south of Clachan in Kilcalmonell and Kilberry parish. She married Niell McEachern on June 9, 1810. I'm wondering if Effie could be a sister of Peter's.

Did your Peter McKellar have a wife prior to Catherine by whom he may have had children? He seems old to just be starting out (1776 to 1824 makes him almost 50!). According to the old naming patterns Peter's father would have been Dugald. Have you confirmed his parents yet? Effie's father may have been Dugald also.

Bill
