Archibald McKeithen came to Alabama in 1818 with his wife Mary Robertson, daughter of Daniel and Marian (Taylor) Robertson with their 7 children, Alexander, Daniel, Katharine, Duncan, Isabel,Archibald, and Sarah Marian. Archibald's father was also Archibald and his wife was Katharine Baleer or Baker. He came from the Isle of Skye (Highlanders)to North Carolina on the same ship as Flora McDonald. Archibald (died 1847) and Mary (1850)are buried in Robinson Springs, Alabama. I have pictures of their tombstones and it says they came from Bladen Co., N.C. I don't know much of anything about their life in N.C. and any connections there. Family history says they left Scotland to escape the persecution after Collodon, they left as young men and made pioneer homes near Wilmington. Any connection to Archibald or others?
